Stockman Custom Cabinets & Millwork

About Us

Who We are

A Seattle Custom
Cabinet Company Built
on Craftsmanship

Stockman Custom Cabinets & Millwork is a veteran-owned custom cabinet company serving general contractors, architects, designers, and homeowners throughout the Greater Seattle Area. With over 75 years of combined experience, our work centers on quality craftsmanship, integrity, and strong relationships with the people who trust us with their projects.

We design and manufacture custom cabinetry and woodwork for spaces that call for something beyond standard products. From custom cabinets in Seattle homes to detailed millwork for contractor-led projects, our team stays closely involved from the initial plans through manufacturing, finishing, and installation.

Quality Is Built Into
Every Project

Our standards extend beyond how cabinetry looks once it is installed. Quality is considered throughout manufacturing, from dimensions and construction to hardware, finishes, fit, and final details.

Before completed work leaves our shop, it is carefully reviewed against the requirements of the project. If something does not meet our standards, we address it before sending the piece to the home or jobsite.

That approach reflects the pride our craftsmen take in their work. Whether we are manufacturing a single vanity or cabinetry for a larger construction project, we want the finished product to represent the level of craftsmanship associated with the Stockman name.

Our Goal

Filling a Need for Better Custom Cabinetry in the Pacific Northwest

Stockman began after our founders recognized a gap in the Pacific Northwest supplier network. Contractors and other project partners needed a cabinet and millwork resource that could deliver quality work while placing greater value on communication, accountability, and long-term relationships.

Stockman Custom Cabinets & Millwork was formed to meet that need.

Those principles continue to guide how we operate. We have built relationships with leading local general contractors while expanding our work with architects, designers, and homeowners.

As a local custom cabinet company, we want clients to know who is building their cabinetry, how their project is progressing, and what they can expect from our team.

More Than Cabinets

More Than a Custom Cabinet Company

Cabinetry is a major part of what we do, but our woodworking capabilities extend much further. Stockman can design and manufacture:

Custom Cabinets

Closets & Storage

Tables &
Game Tables

Custom Built-ins

Entertainment Centers

Bookshelves

Bathroom Vanities

Millwork & Wood Details

Our shop can also shape custom molding profiles to coordinate with existing architectural features that are no longer in production. This capability can be especially useful during renovations where new woodwork needs to complement details already found throughout the property.

For clients looking for Seattle custom cabinets or specialty woodwork, this broader range of capabilities allows us to address project requirements that may extend beyond standard cabinetry.

Our Advantage

The Advantages of Working with a Smaller Cabinet Shop

Stockman’s size allows us to stay personally involved with the projects moving through our shop.

Clients can communicate directly with the people responsible for developing and producing their work. Questions can be addressed as the project progresses, and our team remains accountable for carrying approved details through manufacturing and installation.

This approach also supports one of our core priorities: building lasting relationships. We want to be the custom cabinet company that contractors and design professionals can return to for future projects and that homeowners are comfortable recommending after their project is complete.

Who We Work With

Built for Contractors, Architects, Designers
& Homeowners

The relationships behind our work are just as important as the finished product.

Stockman is a preferred source for leading local general contractors and regularly works with professionals who need cabinetry and millwork produced according to specific project requirements.

We can work from architectural drawings, construction documents, designer specifications, and established material and finish selections. Our team understands that our portion of the work is part of a larger project, making communication and coordination an important part of the process.

We also work directly with homeowners who want cabinetry or woodwork created specifically for their property. Whether the project begins with detailed plans or an initial idea, our team can help develop the information needed to move into production.

Andy Stockman began his career in the trades at just 15 years old, working at a small-town hardware store in Iowa. A local contractor offered him a summer job, which soon turned into a lifelong profession. Over the next two decades, Andy developed a deep respect for craftsmanship and mastered the art of fine carpentry.

With more than 22 years of experience, Andy is known for his precision, safety, and commitment to quality. His specialty lies in cabinetry and millwork, where his eye for detail and steady hand shine through. Before founding Stockman Custom Cabinets and Millwork Andy served four years in the U.S. Army Reserves as a combat medic, an experience that strengthened his work ethic and sense of responsibility.

Andy’s skill and dedication make him an important part of Stockman Custom Cabinets and Millworks reputation for providing quality custom cabinet and millwork solutions. Outside of work, he enjoys yoga with his wife Angelina, teaching and playing with their son Maddux, fishing, and coaching youth sports.

Chris Bicknell

Co-Founder & CEO

For Co-Founder and CEO Chris Bicknell, building has always been more than a profession. Growing up surrounded by tradespeople, he learned early on that attention to detail and pride in your work makes all the difference. Summers during high school were spent helping his father’s painting company in Seattle and his step-grandfather’s construction company in Eastern Washington. Those early days on job sites sparked a lifelong passion for creating.

At 17, Chris enlisted in the U.S. Army as a 35Y technician, training in component-level electronics repair for missile systems and helicopters. The precision and discipline he developed during his service continued to shape his approach to construction. After returning home to Seattle, Chris worked for his father’s painting and maintenance company before managing full-scale renovations for a 10-story retirement community. There, he gained hands-on experience in every stage of the remodel process, from demolition to final finish work.

In 2008, Chris moved into commercial construction, taking on management roles that expanded his skills in leadership and project coordination. One of his most notable experiences was managing complex scopes for a 45-story luxury hotel in downtown Seattle. That project reinforced his belief that great results come from teamwork and communication.

By 2018, Chris decided to return to his roots and focus on residential construction. He founded his first business, a residential general contractor built on craftsmanship, transparency, and care for clients. Today, Chris continues to lead by example, bringing a hands-on approach and high standards to every project.

After 8 years running a general contracting company; Chris realized the need for high quality custom cabinets in the PNW.  When presented with the opportunity, he rekindled his love for woodworking and partnered with Andy Stockman to found Stockman Custom Cabinets & Millwork.
